Yes, you do need a badge

An ISACA open badge is a real-time, verifiable visual representation of your ISACA certification. It’s a quick, easy way to display your achievement on social media, professional networking sites, emails or your personal web site to help peers and potential employers learn more about your credentials. After all, you’ve worked hard to earn your certification, so why not share this accomplishment with your colleagues?

ISACA’s digital badges are managed by Acclaim (Credly)—an enterprise-class badging platform, providing security and protection to your credentials. Once you achieve certification status, you can display your abilities securely online, share your verifiable achievement with peers and prospective employers, and export them for display on other platforms and social media.

HOW DO I CLAIM MY BADGE?

Approximately 10 business days after becoming certified, you’ll receive an email invitation with a link to accept your open badge from our vendor, Acclaim.

You can also accept your badge by logging into your MyISACA, selecting the Certification & CPE Management tab, and selecting the View/Accept Badge button, which will direct you to Acclaim's (Credly's) website to accept your Badge.

You’ll need to create an Acclaim account (if you haven’t already) with the same email address as your ISACA profile. Your open badge will then be accepted and available for use.

WHERE DO I FIND THE OPEN BADGE LINK TO SHARE?

Please follow the below steps to get the URL for sharing your badge:

Log in to your Acclaim (Credly) account at www.youracclaim.com

  • Select View Profile
  • Select the badge you would like to share
  • Select View Full Details
  • Copy / Paste the URL to where you want to share (i.e. LinkedIn)

To share on LinkedIn:

  • Sign in to your LinkedIn account
  • Select Edit Profile
  • Select Add Certification
  • Enter certification details and paste the URL into the "Certification URL" field

HOW DOES MY CREDENTIAL GET DISPLAYED?

While open badges are simply digital image files, they are uniquely linked to data hosted on the Acclaim platform. This constant linkage to verified data makes them more reliable and secure than a traditional paper-based certificate.

WHAT IF I DON’T WANT A BADGE DISPLAYED?

All information about you and your credentials can be managed within the Acclaim (Credly) system. If you do not want your credentials or your profile to be visible to the public, you can make them private. In fact, you may simply discard the open badge email if you do not wish to participate in the program.

WHAT IS AN OPEN BADGE?

An open badge is a digital representation of an outcome or achievement that adheres to an open standard led by the Mozilla Foundation for recognizing and validating learning. They are secure, web-enabled credentials that contain granular, verified information employers can use to evaluate an individual's potential.

Each of your open badges will have a unique URL that you can use to share it on other platforms, such as LinkedIn.
